About the event

John K. Schwarz, Executive Director of the USS Houston CA-30 Survivors Association & Next Generations, delivers a compelling story of the USS Houston CA_30/POW Experience.  This includes a real account of POW's being used as labor on the Burma-Thailand Death Railway as depicted in the 1957 epic movie, "Bridge on the River Kwai."  Hear this story of Naval bravery through the eyes and words of the late Otto Schwarz, John's Dad who was there during WWII and left with him the story to tell.
